Because he began his study of piano in his teenage years, Paul opted for a home school education that would allow him many hours of uninterrupted practice time each day, something he could not have accomplished in a traditional high school setting. At the age of 15 he began his formal study of classical music at the Frantz Liszt Music Academy in Debrecen, Hungary under the tutelage of the academy's director, Professor Mihaly Duffek. While in Hungary he was mentored by Emoke Ujj, an eastern European piano virtuoso and graduate student at the academy.

Impressed by his rapidly developing talent, Ms. Ujj returned to Hawaii with Csige as his private instructor. Together they staged a series of live performances at the most respected theatres in Hawaii while continuing Paul's music education up to 11 hours practice each day.

In 1999 they migrated to the University of North Texas in Denton, TX, where Ms. Ujj earned her PhD with honors in music pedagogy and Mr. Csige completed his home school secondary education while continuing his study of music theory, ear training and performance skills on a rigorous daily schedule.

Paul Csige entered the Berklee College of Music in 2001 with a performance scholarship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in December of 2004. Paul Csige received a degree in film scoring and one in music synthesis.

Although his early music training was in the strict classical tradition, his college years emphasized contemporary music and music technology. Paul was able to merge the driving passions of his life: music, movies and computers, into a career path composing original music for all forms of visual media. He is uniquely prepared to write music for the creative and technological demands of today's television, game, and film industry.

Paul Csige is a citizen of the USA and resident of New Zealand. He is currently living in Westwood in Los Angeles.
